They really do laugh at us.

San Diego Law Enforcement and the District Attorney's office have come to the conclusion that they can pick us off like the weak sheep in the herd.

Until we stand up for each other and come out of the shadows of fear they will be correct. They are counting on nobody showing up to Eugene's trial. They really do laugh at us.

During the last prelim for Cletus Greathouse Detective Scott Henderson and DA Chris Lindberg looked over at the two or three patients who showed up in support of Cletus, and chuckled.

THEY THINK THIS IS A JOKE.
Please see below for one of the many reasons why I will show up on July 13th to support Eugene. Janice Enagonio was a friend to people with disabilitites. She tried to use physics to teach people how bipolar disorder is really the play and display of potentiality. People don't seem to get it. BiPolar patients kill themselves every day. Cannabis can literally help prevent suicide. I am personally able to share with you that on many occasions cannabis is the only thing that kept me from trying to hang myself. Part of the reason why I am so active in medical cannabis in san diego, is that I DON'T WANT TO READ ANOTHER OBITUARY IF I DONT' HAVE TO. Telling my story in hopes of inspiring others to seek relief is what keeps me going.

I will be there on July 13th for Eugene, for myself, for Janice, and for the thousands of medical cannabis patients who want to be there but can't because of illness. It is real easy to read this and think it's not your problem. You are wrong in that assumption. Whether we realize it or not we are all in this together. Eugene could just as easily be any of us. If you took the time to get to know Eugene, you would realize he is one of the kindest, smartest, biggest heart people in San Diego.

Janice M. Enagonio BiPolar Killed herself. here is her obituary

Janice died Jan. 16, 2009, after a promising career as a physics researcher. Following a long struggle with bipolar disorder, she took her own life.
While still in high school in Gaithersburg, Md., Janice delved deeply into science, exploring physics at a local college, where a professor urged her to apply to Princeton. While on campus, she majored in physics, writing a thesis that her mother, who holds a doctorate in chemistry, said even she found difficult to understand.
Janice spent some of her summers during college working at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Illinois. Research she conducted with a physicist there led her to the University of Colorado, where she earned a master’s in atmospheric science and a doctorate in physics. Janice specialized in high-energy particle physics and published papers on topics including “The Physics of Charm and Beauty,” which dealt not with human attributes but with two of the fundamental particles that make up matter. Janice developed bipolar disorder in her 20s and was able to work only sporadically in recent years.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Enagonio, and five siblings, to whom the class extends its deep sympathy.

The Cannabis Communities presence in the courtroom helps to ensure the prosecutor follows the law.

To all Hope Members and Medical Cannabis Patients in San Diego: "Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like human beings, undergo the fatigue of supporting it"----Thomas Paine.

It is now more important than ever that we San Diego medical cannabis patients stick together.

There are seriously ill medical patients that need your support. As I write this there is someone who is sitting in a jail cell in Downtown San Diego for providing other cannabis patients the medicine they need to survive.

Nothing is going to change in San Diego if we don't join together as one voice and shout out to San Diego that WE ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS INHUMANE TREATMENT ANYMORE. Putting our heads in the sand, avoiding the issue, thinking "well at least it is not me" will accomplish nothing.

It is each our responsibility to do whatever we can to change this climate of intolerance and fear.

When you do nothing, San Diego Law Enforcement wins.

They laugh at us, they mock our pain. They think we are a bunch of lazy, stupid stoners.

We are nothing close to lazy stupid stoners. We are motivated, intelligent human beings with hearts and dreams. We are law abiding citizens who contribute in many positive ways to san diego society. We are veterans, teachers, professors, plumbers, stay at home mom's, and much more. We deal with illness many times totally beyond our control. When I was diagnosed with BiPolar, I would have never dreamed that using the medication that helps me function and survive would make me a criminal.

Bonnie Dumanis and Chris Lindberg expect to continue to treat cannabis patients as criminals and get away with it. They will get away with it unless dozens of patients show up at the steps of city hall with signs and a message of truth and hope. We demand change. We demand that San Diego Law Enforcement follow their sworn oath and duty to uphold the California State Constitution. San Diego County and the State of California voters passed Proposition 215 in 1996. The will of the people must be enforced. San Diego Law enforcement thinks Prop 215 is a big joke. They are wrong. They will continue to arrest, and prosecute until we demand change. This is an endless cycle of the buildup of cannabis clubs, the raiding of clubs, arrests, and prosecution. The San Diego District Attorney is using their precious resources to prosecute a medical cannabis patient for selling 7 grams of pot. This is the crystal meth capital of North America. Just imagine how many crystal meth labs are being built while Chris Lindberg and Bonnie Dumanis shine their faces in front of the cameras grandstanding for the public on how they spent hundreds of thousands of dollars for 7 grams of pot from a seriously ill san diego navy veteran.

We must attend Eugene Davidovich's Prelim Heaing on July 13th to show San Diego Law Enforcement that they must respect California Health and Safety Code 11362.5 and Senate Bill 420.It is about our ability to not be in jail for using the medicine that helps us.

The San Diego District Attorney will not stop prosecuting patients until we show up in force. The DA won't start to acknowledge we are medical patients with medical records until we speak up. The Cannabis Communities presence in the courtroom ensures the prosecutor follows the law.

This struggle for our rights to use Cannabis has become about Human rights. The right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis promised to uphold State medical marijuana laws and enact County guidelines in 2003.

Six years later she has found the time, money, and taxpayer resources to target medical marijuana patients yet again.

It is important to note that Bonnie Dumanis only got elected with the support of the LGBT community.

It will effect her when the truth is spread about her attacks on the medical cannabis patients in san diego.

She is a hypocrite. She needs to be exposed for who she is.

Join San Diego medical patients in spreading the truth! Be a part of something real and genuine.

Peace and Love,

Aaron Klein

Medical Marijuana Patient Incarcerated at Prelim Hearing

In the Downtown San Diego Courthouse, District Attorney Chris Linbergh suggested a bail of $100,000 on, & resulting in the incarceration of, Defendant Cletus Greathouse. Judge Gale E. Kineshiro would not allow an expert witness to testify on behalf of Greathouse, instead she called him "a man who deals illegals drugs & is a threat to society!"
Testimony among 3 law enforcement officers touched topics of commercialized marijuana packaging, myspace advertising, & business cards for Cletus 'Kron' Greathouse, who they also established co-owned & operated Chronic Care Providers, a medical marijuana collective on Dagget St in San Diego. There was no denial of a grow room, available medicine, or other operational procedures by the defense. In fact, Greathouse promoted & promotes the medical use of marijuana!
However when the defense asked that expert witness Bill Britt be allowed to testify, they were denied claiming they've yet to prove beyond a sufficient measure that Greathouse is a medical marijuana patient. The defense produced a photocopy of his recommendation & the Court responded that the recommendation is unverifiable:The recommending Physician or a Keeper of Records would have to be present.
As the bailiff arrested Greathouse, he cried for mercy. Another couple of bailiffs cleared the room.

Tonight, Cletus Greathouse will sleep in a jail cell.
His next date in court is July 16th.
He does NOT have his medications with him.
His bail is set $100,000.
Greathouse has been fighting charges for almost a year & has gone broke doing so.
He no longer operates, or has any part in, any collectives.
He has made all of his court dates.
Cletus didn't break any law.
He has also not been convicted.
Cletus has helped many patients.
You can also count on him to be at other Defendant's court dates, supporting them.

Help Cletus 'Kron' Greathouse: Prisoner of the Marijuana War
Please contact the District Attorney & Judge Kineshiro.
It is almost the weekend & Cletus will most likely be stuck in downtown county jail.
Ask them to lift Cletus' bail. Respect the Physician's recommendation. Have compassion & common sense.

Aaron Klein you can't make nature illegal. cannabis for medical purposes has been a part of human societies for over 5000 years. it works for me. it works for millions of human beings. as i write this a very sick medical patient is sitting in a jail cell in san diego because he attempted to help other sick people grow medical cannaibs. While I write this i have a friend strung out on pharmacuetical grade oxycontin. Who is the drug dealer? Pfizer? I have seen medical cannabis help cancer patients eat. I have seen cannabis help HIV/Aids patients regain their energy and dignity. The truth is powerful. The truth cannot be denied.

War on Medical Marijuana patients in San Diego continues!

In California it has been over a decade since the Compassionate Use Act. Several years since SB420, and almost a year since the California Attorney General's guidelines. We have even had The California Third District Court of Appeal last week issue a ruling reaffirming patients rights to collectively cultivate medical marijuana.

However here in San Diego we still have our leadership debating whether marijuana is medicine. The San Diego DA’s Office has stated numerous times that there is no such thing as a legal collective or cooperative, and that anyone who engages in an attempt to cultivate and distribute collectively is obviously in it for profit, "why else would they get in to this activity".

We have judges who refuse to accept a written physician’s recommendation for medical marijuana as a valid patient status in court, and refuse to allow court qualified expert witnesses to testify in medical marijuana cases that are brought in by the defense.

In these same cases, San Diego narcotics detectives are allowed to testify as ‘experts’ on medical cannabis, even though they have received no more then 1 hour of medical marijuana training in their entire career, are not familiar with the laws already in place, and have testified in court that they have never seen a legal collective.

All while the San Diego county board of supervisors makes “illegal dispensaries illegal” adding more confusion to the already confusing serpentine roadmap of laws that patients have to go through.

By their actions and statements the District Attourney, Chief of Police, and our County Board have all made it clear, San Diego is NOT a safe place for any collective cultivation efforts, here patients are rounded up in drug sting operations, prosecuted, and forced into taking plea bargains. The few that put up a fight are thrown in jail.

There are many collectives in San Diego that have gone above and beyond what is required in order to comply and stay within the law. Yet every attempt made to date by in San Diego has resulted in long investigations, prosecutions, and collectives having to operate so deeply underground and under such intense daily fear and pressure, that the potential public benefit they could be bringing to the community and to patients is stifled by this environment of fear.

We as a community need to educate the public on the truth and benefits of medical cannabis and the laws already in place. How many more years need to pass and how many more lives need to be destroyed until there is change in San Diego and until patients rights are respected?

I am Eugene Davidovich and have been a resident of San Diego for over 20 years, honorably discharged from the US Navy, and having completed an MBA, I built a successful career in Software Development Project Management. I also am a medical cannabis patient and operated a non profit collective here in San Diego until last February when my house was raided and I arrested in ‘Operation Green Rx’ later announced by the District Attorney in a press conference as ‘Operation Endless Summer’.

In this operation a local San Diego Police Detective lied to his doctor about his identity and condition, obtained a valid recommendation for medical marijuana and joined the majority of the medical collectives and coops listed on the San Diego section of the CA NORML list.

The detective called me and joined the collective over the phone. Then after verifying his eligibility with his doctor I allowed him to join the collective. While pretending to be a sick patient, he requested that I deliver medical cannabis to him. Having seen him once and provided him with a ¼ ounce of medical cannabis, I am now facing 4 felony charges, $65,000 bail, and permanent profoundly traumatic damage to my professional and personal life.

Please join me in the struggle for patients' rights to collectively cultivate and distribute medication by supporting me in court on July 13th, 2009 at 8:15am.

County Approves Medical Marijuana ID Cards

San Diego County Supervisors discuss medical marijuana ID cards after a 3 year delay due to their lawsuit. The County Health and Human Services agency recommends a card program costing $166 per patient per year. Rudy Reyes speaks in favor of the ID cards but against entrusting the County to handle medical records. Wendy Christakes approves of the cards but objects to the price the County is charging. $66 of the fee goes to the state who actually produce the card. $100 goes to the County. Watch the video for more.
